Our new good friend Leslie was just here from Oregon. At first she was not even our friend, just a nice person we met at the pool but when she brought us some fresh salsa that she whipped up and gave us the recipe to boot, she instantly became our new good friend. We’ve had lots and lots of salsa down here, both home made and store bought but I thought this was one of the best I have had. I think Leslie said she got the recipe from a Mexican friend somewhere around Lake Chapala.
No matter where she got it it’s a good one. Watch out though, it’s not for the faint of heart. If you don’t like hot then cut back on the habanero’s or substitute jalapeños.
